Moomal Productions is Hum TV's production house. It is engaged in marketing, commercials documentary production. It is owned by Hum TV. Momina Duraid is the CEO and is a producer, script-writer, lyricist and a director, from Pakistan. Duraid is the wife of Duraid Qureshi, CEO of Hum Network Limited, and the daughter-in-law of Sultana Siddiqui, president of HUM Network Limited. It is located at Muhammad Ali Bogra Road, Bath Island, Clifton Karachi, Sindh.

Zindagi Gulzar Hai[edit]

Zindagi gulzar Hai is a Moomal project that set a milestone with the directorial comeback of Sultana Siddiqui as director after a decade.[1]

Momina Duraid is a TV producer, script-writer, lyricist and a director from Pakistan. She is the CEO of Moomal ProductionsHum TV's production house.[1]

Career[edit]

Momina graduated from LUMS, and made her debut in drama production with her first serial, Mere Paas Paas, which was a big hit. She got another hit with Lahasil, and both of these dramas were nominated for awards.[2]
Her serial, Ishq Junoon Deewangi was awarded the Best TV Serial on Satellite by the Lux Style Award. Another production Dastaan was awarded Best Drama in the 2nd Annual Pakistan Media Awards. Another venture Humsafar has got critical acclaim in the Pakistani media. She also receive 3 Hum Awards in 2013.

Momina Duraid is the wife of Duraid Qureshi, CEO of Hum Network Limited, and the daughter-in-law of Sultana Siddiquipresident of HUM Network Limited.[3]

Sultana Siddiqui (Urduسلطانہ صدیقی‎) is a Pakistani television director, producer and a businessperson from Karachi.[1] She is also known as Sultana Apa (Urduسلطانہ آپا‎). She is the director of Hum Network Limited and the president of Hum TV and the first woman who started her own TV channel.[2]

Career[edit]

Sultana started her career from PTV as a producer in Karachi in 1974. Later she started Eye Television Network under which her own four cable channels are working included "Hum TV". She is the only woman in Asia who started or owned a TV channel.[3] Her work has covered children’s programming, musical performances, telefilm, serials, and social and professional documentaries. These production won her the Best Producers of a Drama Serial, Best producer of a music production, the Silver Jubilee Award (PTV), the Hazrat Khadijat ul Kubra Award, Women of Vision Award, Nigar Award, Gold Medal, Sindh Graduates Association Award and Pride of Performance Award.
As a director she remained inactive ten or eleven years before her latest drama serial Zindagi Gulzar Hai.[4]
Her forte and passion have always been dedicated to bringing public awareness to social issues, such as female empowerment, and eradication of social vices such as promotion of female education.[5] Her emphasis on theses topics has in turn created a more positive global image of Pakistan. She has also represented Pakistan on various workshops and seminars abroad and has worked with reputable civil society organizations to solve women’s issues.
